The Aquatic and Fitness Centre is operated by the Whakatāne District Council. The pool can be booked for training, events, and children’s parties.

Learn to Swim
“Learn a Skill for life” at the Whakatāne Aquatic Centre. Our Swim School programme caters for all ages and stages from 6 months through to adults. Living in a community that is surrounded by beaches, lakes and rivers, it is important that we provide our children with the skills that could one day save a life.

We have qualified instructors that are committed and dedicated to assisting your children on the Learn to Swim journey. If you are new to our programme, we would like to offer you a free swim assessment to ensure that your child will be in the correct class.
